Aquamat Capillary Matting
Product Description
Aquamat Capillary Matting - By placing your plants on capillary matting you can greatly reduce the amount of time spent watering them. The matting absorbs water and plants take the water as and when they need it.
Technical Details -
Weight - 450g per sq.m
Field Capacity - 3.6 litres per sq.m
Capillary Rise - 7cm or more depending on water softness
Colour - Green
Advantages -
Multi-Layered - 14 finely spaced layers each acting as a reservoir resulting in constant and uniform water displacement throughout the whole area. Even as plants use water, it is replaced by that held in the layer underneath, so a uniform supply is available for use.
Constant pF - capillary rise is strong and uniform so that no dry spots occur. Water is supplied to the plant constantly even on gentle sloping or uneven benching.
Good Wet/Dry Performance - Aquamat will shrink slightly when dry, expanding again when wet giving constant performance.
Root Protection - roots only have to lie under the plant pot and on the surface of Aquamat to obtain all the water they want. They do not have to search down into the material, thus eliminating damage when moving pots.
Optimum Thickness - Aquamat has been developed at one of Britain's leading flower research and development centres, ensuring the product gives a reliable service to producers of bedding and pot plants.
Non-Toxic - the materials used in the production of Aquamat are non phyto toxic. Aquamat is easily cleaned and reversible giving more than one season's service.
Sterilisation - Aquamat is easily sterilised by steam cleaning and not react to proprietary brands of algicides.
Ease of Laying - Aquamat is very easy to lay. Its flexibility makes it easy to move, cut and overlap.
