Soil Warming Cable
Product Description
The use of soil warming cables to provide a stable bottom heat in greenhouse borders or propagating benches helps to obtain the best results from mist propagation. For most cuttings a bench temperature of 21-24oC (70-75oF) is recommended.
A simple & efficient means of increasing and maintaining bench temperatures. Completely safe, even if accidentally damaged, they are installed to give a loading of 150 watts per m2 (15w per sq.ft). The cables will maintain required temperature levels providing the surrounding air is not too cold. Under these conditions supplementary heating should be used (see our range of tunnel heaters).
Thermostat required for correct operation.
