The Aqua-Sac S.O.S. Bag is a revolutionary sand-free jute sack containing an ultra-absorbent polymer, designed for use in floods as a replacement for traditional sandbags.

The bags are supplied dry & flat (size 60cm x 37cm, weight 0.4kg) for easy & convenient storage a major advantage over bulky, heavy sand bags. Simply store in a cool, dry place until needed to use immerse the Aqua-Sac in water for 5-8 minutes (either in the bath or in the approaching flood water!) & the bag expands to over 30 times its original size (approx. 54cm x 31cm x 10.5cm), then lay in place as you would sandbags.

Aqua-Sac is intended for constructing effective, flood barriers up to 2ft against freshwater, to control flooding from non-tidal rivers or rainwater and can also be used for soaking up water from burst pipes etc. Saltwater actually breaks down the absorbent polymer over a period of approx. 8-12 hours, therefore Aqua-Sac can help in the case of a saltwater 'flash flood', but only for a short period of a few hours.

Aqua-Sac can also be used for 'Greening' bury Aqua-Sac underneath a tree during planting and it will store water & act as a reservoir for the plant to take water from as & when it needs it - this also encourages downward root growth for improved plant strength.
